About Us
Pilates strengthens your core, improves flexibility and spinal mobility, and builds long, lean muscles. It enhances balance, coordination, and posture while supporting better breathing and energy. A consistent practice can also reduce pain, stress, and fatigue—helping you feel stronger, more aligned, and revitalized.
Dami Hughes
Owner, Pilates Instructor
Hi, I’m Dami Hughes the owner and lead instructor at Pure Pilates. I’ve been teaching for 22 years and opened this studio to create a welcoming space where people of all ages and fitness levels can feel stronger, more mobile, and more connected to their bodies. With over 22 years of teaching and learning experience, I’m comprehensively trained by Polestar Pilates and spent five years as a Polestar Mentor, further enriching my expertise with additional specialized trainings. My approach blends classical Pilates principles with modern pilates techniques, always tailored to meet clients where they are.
Whether you are looking to improve posture, recover from an injury or simply move better, I’m here to guide you on you journey.

Megan Lay, NCPT
Pilates Instructor
I first discovered Pilates as a way to support my dance training, and I quickly fell in love with how it strengthens, heals, and inspires both body and mind. After graduating in 2019 with a
BFA in Dance Performance and a BA in Arts Administration, I began my Pilates journey in Colorado.
Since then, I’ve pursued my comprehensive training through Polestar Pilates and continue to grow my practice through ongoing education and workshops. I recently became a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher through the NPCP. I’m passionate about helping others find joy in movement—especially those recovering from sports and dance-related injuries.

Maggie Melancon
Pilates Instructor
After decades of long distance running and weightlifting, my body was breaking down, and my first hip replacement surgery was scheduled. Pilates became my pathway to recovery. Transforming not just my body but creating a new perspective on movement and wellness. After a few years of my own personal practice, I wanted to dive deeper into the philosophy and discipline of Pilates, earning a classical Pilates Certification through Whole Body Method, Los Angeles, and currently pursuing a National Certification. I am passionate about helping others discover their own strength and well-being, offering personalized instruction in both private and group sessions.

Cheryl Murphy
Pilates Instructor
Cheryl discovered the magical benefits of Pilates after struggling with repetitive shoulder issues from a long airline career. She never looked back and became an aficionado about holistic mind to body movement! Certified in a classical method in 2013 with Balanced Body, she is also a Bauman College Nutrition educator and a Metagenics First line Lifestyle Coach. When not fervently teaching Pilates, she travels to her Favorite destinations, hikes the Colorado trails and loves spending precious time with her husband and her to beloved Scottish Terriers.
